Wes Swing

(, usa)

Wes Swing is a cellist, singer and multi-instrumentalist, currently living in San Francisco. His music is best characterized as alt-cello-folk and has been described as Radiohead mixed with classical and "a rich and lilting soundscapeā€. In live performance, Wes loops his cello and violin, combining layered strings and lyrics imbued with poetry. His musical journey began as a four-year-old violinist, developing an early appreciation for classical music, and finding his true musical love in the cello while at university. As a composer and performer, Wes has written for NPR, ballet, and modern dance, and toured throughout the US and Europe.
